Selection criteria: Financial need and scholarship standing; 250 word essay on what President Kennedy said, “Ask not what your country can do for you but ask what YOU can do for your country.” What does that mean to you today? Family income may not exceed $60000 per year.

Eligibility: Graduating senior from St. Vrain Valley area high school

Restrictions: For use at a college, university, or vocational school within Colorado

Sponsor: Kiwanis Club of Longmont

Amount: Two (2) $2000 scholarships

Payable: Directly to the college

Selection committee: Kiwanis Club Scholarship Committee
